Why Is My Poop Green?

Obviously, this is not a topic we openly discuss in our daily lives.  However, if you have found your way here, then most likely either you or someone you care about has recently passed a green bowel movement.


Many times a green stool is caused simply by ones diet.  Often it can be traced back to eating green leafy vegetables like spinach.  An increase in iron in ones diet can also cause some green discoloration of your stool.
